RIVERSTONE COUNTRY

What started as Dot drying flowers and wheat in her home to help make ends meet, soon needed more space and thus she took over one bay in the farm shed. In 1986 Dot opened the now famous Riverstone Country and the rest as they say is history.

Her empire has expanded to three sprawling giftshops, filled to the rafters with homewares, a year-round Christmas shop and still an abundance of dried flowers from her garden. You can easily lose yourself for a couple of hours here just exploring. You won’t leave disappointed or most likely empty handed.

Dot’s favourite assessment of herself, with a laugh, ‘ I love to shop and I love beautiful things, therefore I am a woman’s dream and a man’s nightmare.’

With a fourth shop to be built this year, it’s clear she hasn’t stopped shopping yet.
